Ian Tyler

Ian has over 35 years’ experience in bank treasury, risk management and prudential regulation and is currently a non-executive director for Gain Capital UK Limited, Makaris Strategies Limited and TreasurySpring Limited as well as a Senior Advisor with Alvarez and Marsal.
Ian worked the large majority of his banking career in bank treasury for Barclays, RBS and Tesco Bank and in RBS he was both the Head of Non-Traded Risk Management and then the Group Head of Capital during the traumatic years of 2007 and 2008.
In late 2011 he moved into professional services where he first worked at Deloitte, building up a Treasury and Prudential Risk Management team and being promoted to partner before switching to Alvarez and Marsal as a Managing Director.
Mr Tyler has a MA in Mathematics (Cantab.) and also qualified as ACIB early in his banking career.
